Nancy E. Forrester is the President and Managing Consultant of Biscaye Consultants, LTD, which was founded in 1989. She has been in the consulting field of process and quality improvement for 25 years.
Ms. Forrester brings a unique combination of statistician and psychologist to her work. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College and holds a Master's Degree in statistics from the University of Rhode Island. She mentored with W. Edwards Deming -- the pioneer of the field of quality control -- for 5 years, while completing the requirements for a PhD. Her work has been published in issues of Ecology and Biometrics. Her paper entitled "Accelerating Patient-Care Improvement in the ED" was published in Healthcare Financial Management.
Ms. Forrester has facilitated improvement and transformation in telecommunications, healthcare, education, pulp and paper manufacturing, and other sectors. Ms. Forrester applies her years of training and experience to the human and business operations aspects of change. In the human sphere, she seeks to improve leadership, relationships, and productivity by resolving the problem areas that are barriers to communication, cooperation, openness, and trust. In the operations sphere, she brings her powerful activity-based costing Accelerated Approach for improvement to achieve impressive, measurable results in a remarkably short period of time.
